The study aims to understand the implications of social media usage for academics' professional development and networking, as well as provide recommendations for enhancing social media behaviours.

Why My Research is Important/Impacts

This research is important as it will provide insights into how higher education academics utilise social media, contributing to the understanding of scholarly communication and engagement with students and other stakeholders. In addition, their experiences, and perceptions, may shed light on underlying factors associated with social media usage. It would also enable the development of guidelines, enhance digital literacy and foster a productive online academic community.
