Scholarships are awarded to recognise strong academic performance and innovation as well as enable better access so that students can reach their full potential and build on their education aspiration. This aspect of financial support is a key feature in the University's holistic provision of services to international students, and will strengthen our standing as Australia's most accessible and inclusive university.

We offer a generous variety of scholarships to international students. These scholarships are available from CQUniversity, the Australian government and external organisations. We encourage you to apply for any scholarship or funding you are eligible for.

Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is open to future international students who intend to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at any CQUniversity campus. The Scholarship rewards successful applicants with a 20 per cent reduction in tuition fees for the duration of their studies, subject to meeting terms and conditions.

CQUniversity spends approximately AU$2.5 million dollars per year on the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship to support international students, 20 per cent of which are recipients of this prestigious scholarship.

It is a merit-based scholarship and your application will be assessed based on your previous academic results which must meet the minimum selection criteria below. For countries not listed, applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
