Study Tours

Study tours are short-term programs that combine English language lessons with sightseeing and educational excursions.

We can tailor a program to your specific requirements or make recommendations based on our extensive knowledge and experience. Some of our most popular excursions include visiting the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, bushwalking in the Blue Mountains, seeing the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, learning about Aboriginal culture at local art galleries and museums or finding out more about native Australian animals at a wildlife sanctuary.

CQUEnglish can organise study tours in Brisbane, Melbourne, Rockhampton and Sydney all-year-round. We have extensive experience in organising study tours for professional groups, government ministries as well as senior high school and university students. We can customise a study tour to suit your subject area or group, such as English for nursing students or teaching English as a foreign language.

Study tour programs are not accredited or CRICOS registered programs and are not available as a principle course for student visa holders.

Feedback from our study tour group

“Thank you so much for all your support during our students and chaperones stay in Rockhampton.
We really appreciate your kindness and hospitality.
Our students returned home safely with wonderful and happy memories in Rockhampton.
We are very pleased to know that they really enjoyed staying with their host family and have had a wonderful experience that would be never possible if they had been in Japan.”

For university students

These study tours are designed to combine English language study with academic studies and cultural activities. The English language content can be either General English (GE) or English for specific purposes e.g. nursing, depending on the specific interests of your group. This is an ideal opportunity to experience life at an Australian university, visit study-related organisations, participate in a range of cultural activities in the local area and take part in academic activities.

For high school students

These study tours combine an English course specially designed to suit the level and interest of high school students, with a fully inclusive and varied program of excursions and activities.

For special interest groups

These study tours are for business, sporting, hobby or other special interest groups and are designed to provide opportunities to learn English and pursue particular interests with an Australian flavour e.g. practise your English speaking skills as you visit places of natural beauty such as wetlands, beautiful coastal areas, national parks and the outback.

Everything was wonderful and I felt comfortable throughout. The best things about the study tour for me was the scenery and the English lessons. I enjoyed learning about the animals, culture and Indigenous people. I had a great time during the excursions too. The Capricorn Caves and our trip to Keppel Island were amazing. I will never forget the memories I made with my friends during our time at CQUniversity Rockhampton.
