An immersive hands-on clinical experience hosted by UQRCS, CQU, CQHHS and WBHHS.

Year 10 students are invited to join Regional Medical Pathway to participate in a number of different clinical skills, supervised by qualified clinical staff.

“Destination Doctor”, is an event run by the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School (UQRCS), in partnership with CQUniversity, Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service where you will have the chance to immerse yourself in a day of hands-on clinical skills session and gain insight from staff and students about the Regional Medical Pathway program.

Highlights

  • Hands-on Workshops such as blood typing, Airway Management, CPR and patient simulations, and anatomy virtual reality
  • Meet Medical Professionals and current medical students from UQ, CQU, WB and CQHHS
  • Learn more about the process of applying for medicine and possible pathways available for you
  • Be rewarded with a Certificate of Completion awarded from the Regional Medical Pathway that can be attached to QTAC application
