The WorldSkills Australia Plumbing and Heating Competition 2024 requires participants to utilise plumbing industry skills and knowledge. Competition tasks may include completing simulated installations of systems used within domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. The projects may include working with different piping systems, as well as clipping and installation of fixtures used in the plumbing industry. To be eligible to enter a WorldSkills competition, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship in an Australian RTO/TAFE/University
- Be undertaking studies towards a qualification at an Australian RTO/TAFE or University
- Undertaken/completed a relevant qualification at an Australian RTO/TAFE or University
There is no age criteria to enter the Regionals, however, to be eligible to proceed to the 2025 National Championships, the National Age Ruling will apply.
A competitor at the WorldSkills Australia National Championships should not be older than 24 years in the year of competition (For 2025 – Born on or after 1 Jan 2001). For more information on eligibility visit WorldSkills.
