Nick Nijkamp began his study journey at CQUniversity because it offered him the chance to study his Bachelor of Nursing locally. Based in the regional town of Bundaberg, Nick was able to study on a campus just minutes away.

After graduating with his Bachelor of Nursing with Distinction in 2016, Nick completed a Graduate Certificate of Nursing specialising in anaesthesia and recovery room nursing. Nick is currently working in his dream role as a Perianaesthesia Registered Nurse at Queensland Health. Nick recently completed his Master of Clinical Nursing and works as a Lecturer/Unit Coordinator at CQUniversity, training the next generation of nurses.

Nick is committed to lifelong learning and has completed a variety of courses to further his knowledge, including the Emerging Nurse Leaders program through the Australian College of Nursing and courses through Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
