2006 QAS Central Region Paramedic of the Year

I was one of the first students enrolled in the newly developed Bachelor of Health (Nursing) when introduced to CQUniversity. I had such a great experience that when I decided to do post-graduate qualifications continuing with CQU was a natural choice. The lecturers were truly inspirational.

My Bachelor assisted me to obtain a job with Queensland Ambulance Service where I was a paramedic for 22 years. My Masters assisted with my career moves in the QAS from being a flight and intensive care paramedic to a clinical support officer in education. It also assisted with my current career in higher education.

As well as saving countless lives and really making a difference to people's lives, I'm proud of my career which has included developing the Bachelor of Paramedic Science program, being promoted to Deputy Dean - Learning & Teaching in the School of Medical and Applied Science and publications, including journals, text book chapters, conferences and seminar presentations.

I am now employed as the Deputy Dean - Learning & Teaching in the School of Business and Law.
