Nathan Barnett

With over 19 years' experience across two trades in the mechanical industry, I wanted to consolidate my professional knowledge with university study to enable progression in my future path of business, management, marketing and sales roles. CQUniversity's online study option gave me the flexibility of being able to study whilst working, and drop in to a campus as required.

The individual courses I studied have progressed my career and learning, and I am now a Maintenance Planning Manager for Komatsu. Using the skills I learnt has helped me succeed in my career, including people management, negotiation, budgeting (sales and parts forecasting), customer maintenance planning, inventory management, asset management and more.

My professional highlights include holding a management position within a top tier international mining equipment manufacturer based in Brisbane, completing my Grad Dip with distinction, traveling and living in different areas of our great country Australia, and balancing work and family life whilst participating in the community.
