Philippa Rumble
Before pursuing a career in teaching, Philippa was a young mother living on a remote farm in Western Australia. She was volunteering for nine different not-for-profit organisations and looking to expand her skills in a way that would support her community.
Philippa is now teaching full-time and enjoys having the chance to shape the future leaders of Australia. Making a difference in students' lives – from celebrating their new goal at footy to helping them grasp a tricky math concept – she finds teaching incredibly rewarding. Philippa feels her degree prepared her to be an effective teacher because the high level of practical experience ensured she was ready to step into a classroom and teach to the best of her ability.
Philippa is also a part of a National Rural Women's Coalition committee presenting on the housing crisis for women in rural, regional & remote Australia.
