After completing her Bachelor of Psychological Science, Jessica was exploring which profession would suit her best. She chose to complete her Honours year at CQUniversity because it offered the flexibility to study online but also had a physical campus in Adelaide.

Jessica's degree provided her with analysis and therapeutic intervention skills and a broader understanding of the human experience. After graduation, she undertook a community coordinator role at HYPA, case managing about 50 tenants and a transitional housing program for young people. She then worked as a project officer in New South Wales Care Leaver Records before moving into Child Protection in Victoria.

Jessica currently works as a therapeutic specialist for the Australian Childhood Foundation. Her position involves completing therapeutic assessments and reports for young people in out of home care who may have more complex needs. She also undertakes individual therapeutic work with the families if required.
