Misty is a Research and Funding Officer at Burnett Catchment Care Association. She has experience in environmental accounting as an accredited expert (Cat 1: Native veg & fauna - Accounting for Nature) and soil conservation/erosion remediation and carbon (Soil professional development program and community of practice).

Since graduation, Misty has gained knowledge in conservation and sustainable agriculture, project development and management, grants, and funding submission. She has been involved in the Regional Agriculture Strategy, Burnett Koala Program (citizen science), Great Barrier Reef Foundation - Community Action Plan Leader, Regional Resource Audit & Gap Analysis (Agriculture).

Misty has a background in finance and accounting and owned businesses in consulting, community services, NDIS, youth at risk and childcare sectors. She has also worked in local government in regional economic recovery after natural disasters.
