Shashini Wanigasekara

Shashini worked as an Information Technology (IT) teacher in Sri Lanka but knew she didn't want to finish her career as a teacher. In her current role as a Development Coordinator at Care Access, she mainly manages the security and digital marketing of the company. She dreams of becoming a pioneer in the IT industry and is fascinated by learning more.

For her last semester of study, Shashini chose to do an internship, which she undertook online due to COVID-19. Still as effective as working in person, she ended up with six job offers at the end of her internship.

With a specialisation in networking and security, Shashini has found her degree helped her conduct the international organisation for standardisation (ISO) security and cybersecurity standards.
