Darcy graduated with a Bachelor of Paramedic Science in November 2020. She has applied for a Graduate Paramedic position with the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS). Applications opened in December 2020, with over 2000 applicants competing for approximately 200 positions.
Currently, Darcy works as a qualified veterinary nurse while she progresses through the application process for a Graduate Paramedic position with the QAS. It was this role that nurtured her interest in clinical pathophysiology and human medicine. Darcy chose to study at CQUni because the STEPS program enabled her to complete her high school qualification so that she could enrol in an undergraduate degree.
