Colin McPherson

Colin is the Area Manager at Cootharinga North Queensland, where he manages a team of Support Workers to assist people with a disability to live a high-quality life. Colin chose a Master of Business Administration after the disability services sector faced significant funding changes, with the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). He identified a need to strengthen his knowledge and add to his Bachelor of Social Work.

The focus of Colin's MBA was human resources, which helped him identify global ideas to solve complex dilemmas. Since the transition, Colin has increased his organisations employee base from 30 to around 100 staff across various areas, including disability support workers, administration staff, and allied health professionals.
