Since graduation, Kaitlyn has completed her graduate program as a paramedic and become an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACPII) with the Queensland Ambulance Service. She also works as a Medical Student Coordinator for Rural Medical Education Australia.

Both of her current roles have a primary focus on health and communities but are ultimately vastly different from each other. As a paramedic, she works on the frontline face-to-face with patients daily, whereas her Coordinator role has no direct patient contact.

Kaitlyn has essentially worked in full time roles since the age of 17 in various industries but has always had a passion for health. She completed her first degree through a different university then completed her last two through CQUni. She loved the flexibility of studying through CQUni via distance.
