Jodie co-founded online platform 'Gathar' in 2018, which links chefs, cooks and grazing table stylists with customers who want to entertain their guests in their own home but don't want the hassle of doing the cooking.

Gathar has since expanded into 10 Australian markets, including Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast. The organisation has attracted significant media interest nationally due to the innovative concept underpinning the match-up of cooks and hosts for in-home dining.

Jodie's beginnings in Cairns means she is passionate about entrepreneurship in the Far North Queensland region and she has shared her experience as a start-up entrepreneur as a guest speaker at a range of events since commencing her entrepreneurial journey.

CQUniversity is proud to recognise Jodie as the recipient of the 2021 Alumnus of the Year – Early Career Award.
