Nikki's Diploma of Health Science equipped her with knowledge of the human body, disease and disorder, helping prepare her for her current role as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher role at the Queensland Ambulance Service.
Prior to this, Nikki served in the Defence Force, after enlisting in the Australian Army at 17 years old. Her time in the Defence Force is a point of pride, so too is her current role with the QAS.
Nikki chose CQUniversity to study as the ability to study online was extremely appealing. This flexibility ensured that she could stay at home with her young children and study – allowing her to avoid "years of blank" on her resume.
