Before joining CQUniversity, I was in Nepal researching options for overseas postgraduate study following my bachelor’s degree. I chose CQU to pursue a Master of Information Technology, drawn by its reputation and practical curriculum. Studying at CQU not only established my technical foundation but also instilled a strong understanding of Australian industry standards, data governance, and workplace culture, preparing me to make rapid, evidence-based decisions in a global environment.

Balancing studies and part-time work paid off when I successfully launched my professional IT career in Australia. Since 2019, I have worked with corporate telecommunications giant TPG Telecom, earning rapid promotion from Junior Developer to Senior Data Engineer within five years. In my current role, I engineer high-performance ETL pipelines, optimize complex SQL workloads in MS SQL Server and SAP Sybase IQ, implement Kimball-based data modeling frameworks, and streamline automated enterprise reporting via SSRS. I also collaborate closely with compliance teams on Metadata Retention systems to ensure strict alignment with national regulatory requirements.

A major career highlight is receiving TPG Telecom’s Superstar Award for three consecutive years in recognition of my performance and technical leadership. Outside of my technical work, I am passionate about football—enjoying it both on the field and on PlayStation—and love socializing with friends and staying active in the community.
