I have always been fascinated by computers and how they work. Growing up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, I often helped neighbours and friends fix their computers, which sparked my interest in technology and problem-solving. That early hands-on experience inspired me to pursue a career in information technology and eventually led me to study a Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Network Security, with CQUniversity. I was drawn to CQUniversity because of its practical, industry-focused curriculum and strong support for international students.
During my studies, I completed a data analyst internship with Optus, where I gained valuable experience working with large datasets and translating complex information into insights that support business decision-making. That opportunity helped bridge the gap between university study and real-world industry experience.
After graduating, I began my career in Australia as an IT Support Engineer with The Walt Disney Company, providing advanced technical support for enterprise systems and working closely with infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues. I later moved into network and security operations with MECCA Brands, focusing on secure access systems, monitoring network security and supporting the organisation’s IT infrastructure across retail and corporate environments.
Today, I work as an IT Service Delivery Officer with Wesfarmers Health, helping oversee the delivery of IT services across a large multi-brand health organisation. My CQUniversity degree provided the technical foundation and problem-solving skills that continue to guide my work in networking, security and IT service delivery.
