After graduating from CQUniversity in 2017, my career in management has been a journey of growth, learning and self-discovery. I began as a trainee, taking on small responsibilities that taught me patience, teamwork and the importance of listening. As I progressed into larger roles, I faced challenges that strengthened my decision-making and problem-solving skills, while leading projects that improved collaboration and customer satisfaction. One of the most rewarding aspects has been mentoring colleagues and seeing them succeed, which reinforced the value of clear and honest communication as a leader.
Before enrolling at CQUniversity, I worked in the mechanical industry as a production manager. While I gained valuable practical experience, I recognised that further study was key to advancing my career and broadening my perspective. CQUniversity’s strong reputation, flexible learning options, and focus on real-world skills made it the ideal place to build the academic foundation I needed.
Today, I work in note printing, where precision and confidentiality are essential. My role involves operating and monitoring specialised printing machines, ensuring quality control at every stage, and following strict security protocols. This position has strengthened my focus, discipline and ability to work efficiently under structured processes.
My CQUniversity degree remains a cornerstone of my career. It provided the technical knowledge and critical thinking skills I apply daily, and it built my confidence to tackle complex tasks and leadership responsibilities. Most importantly, it opened doors to new opportunities and inspired a mindset of continuous learning and professional growth.
