I began my journey in 2013 studying IVQ Level 5 in Construction and Quantity Surveying, which laid the foundation for my career in civil engineering. After completing a Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering (Hons) at Liverpool John Moores University, UK, I returned to Sri Lanka to work on major infrastructure projects, including an international harbour, roads, bridges, and residential developments with Tier 1 construction companies.
In 2019, I moved to Australia to pursue my Master of Project Management at CQUniversity. The program’s practical approach, flexible learning and strong industry connections allowed me to build advanced project management skills while completing an internship with a leading Melbourne facilities management company during the COVID period.
Since then, I have worked on a range of residential and industrial projects across Victoria, progressing from Project Engineer to Project Manager. In 2023, I joined Northcrest, the Northern Territory’s largest subdivision, where I contribute to the sustainable development of remote communities. My role involves coordinating site operations, managing contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet quality, safety and environmental standards.
A member of several professional engineering bodies, I continue to apply my skills to deliver complex projects that support community growth and development.
