Higher Degree by Research

I am an Associate Professor of Ecological Economics at Charles Darwin University. Since completing my PhD at CQUniversity back in 2004, my work has been focused on highlighting the importance of nature for well-being of people, particularly Indigenous people in Australia and other parts of the world. Over the past 20+ years I have developed the skills and knowledge in the areas of payments for ecosystem services; valuing ecosystem services, particularly from Indigenous people and local communities (IPLCs) perspective; linking ecosystem services and human well-being; and the management of natural resources and related IPLCs capabilities and wellbeing. My CQUniversity PhD has been pivotal in working in my current field.
