Susan Scarr

I hold a Bachelor of Professional Communication and a Bachelor of Health Promotion from CQUniversity. While I was already working in roles focused on health education and awareness, I felt the need to formalise my qualifications and elevate my impact in the field. I chose CQUniversity because it offered the programs I was passionate about, along with excellent support services and accessible campuses in regional Queensland.

In my current position in Health Promotion and Health Communications, I am responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering evidence-based prevention initiatives and health-promoting activities within local communities. I utilise population health and community demographic data to design activity plans with clear evaluation frameworks and measurable outcomes. These efforts are supported by targeted health communication strategies and social marketing approaches.

My studies at CQUniversity have been instrumental in advancing my career. They have opened doors to dynamic and rewarding roles, as well as opportunities for further postgraduate education. Without my degrees in Health Promotion and Professional Communication, I wouldn’t be in the specialised role I hold today—one that directly aligns with my academic and professional goals.
