I always wanted to work in the healthcare sector and I think nursing is one of the most rewarding professions. I chose CQUniversity because of its reputation for excellence, flexibility, and student support.
During my nursing degree, I began my career as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), working on a medical-surgical unit. I gained valuable experience caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions and learned how to manage multiple patients at once. Then, I decided to pursue my career in perioperative field. As a perioperative nurse, I am responsible for providing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. I work closely with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care possible.
The nursing degree has provided me with the foundation I needed to build a successful and fulfilling career in healthcare. It equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide high-quality patient care and opened up opportunities for my career advancement.
