I completed a subject through the Start Uni Now (SUN) program at CQU in 2013. After finishing high school, I studied Biochemistry at James Cook University for 2 years, however I realised it wasn't where I wanted to head in life, and transitioned to an Applied Biology major in the Bachelor of Science at CQU.
After finishing my degree, I started working at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water in early 2023 and have enjoyed it immensely. I undertook three rotations in my first year, including one involved with Murray Darling Basin Infrastructure. My job includes policy, management of projects, and reviewing documents, as well as ad hoc work.
Having my degree has helped as I have applied it along with my rural background to provide a specific lens to how projects and policies are managed.
