Shannon Lloyd

Shannon Lloyd is an accomplished project, program, and portfolio management (P3M) executive and educator with over 25 years of experience optimising large-scale capital investments. Specialising in the engineering of high-value operating models, robust investment governance, and rigorous control mechanisms, he has guided more than $40 billion in capital and transformation portfolios across the infrastructure, transport and energy sectors. His industry track record spans major, multi-billion-dollar Australian assets and programs, including the Inland Rail Program, the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), Cross River Rail, and the Australian Pacific LNG facility.
 
A distinction graduate of CQUniversity’s Master of Project Management program, his contributions to the field have been recognised nationally, notably securing the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) National and Queensland Project Management Office (PMO) of the Year awards for his work on the Inland Rail Program Management Office. He is a Certified Practising Portfolio Executive (CPPE), a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Life Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. 
 
Concurrently, Shannon bridges industry practice with academic thought leadership through his ongoing work as a Lecturer in Project Management at CQUniversity. Within postgraduate curricula, he is dedicated to transforming complex, real-world execution strategies into actionable insights for the next generation of practitioners, translating global best-practice frameworks into practical, high-impact competencies for future project leaders.
