Winter is coming, but in terms of ‘business disruption’, CEOs and senior managers can embrace the new age, not fear it, thanks to a milestone event organised by a new brand entity.

Conceived to position Noosa as an edu-tourism hub, The CQU Noosa Institute has scheduled an Executive Education Retreat for 1-2 August at Pepper’s Noosa Resort. Phone 07 5440 7000 to express an interest in attending.

Participants will join industry experts, quality speakers and world-class academics to learn how to prepare themselves, their business and their employees for the age of disruption.

“CEOs, senior managers and other leaders can come together to learn, engage and be inspired,” says Teressa Schmidt, CQUniversity’s Associate Vice-Chancellor (Sunshine Coast Region).

"The CQU Noosa Institute has been developed to provide a boutique educational experience in an idyllic and tranquil setting. While the initial offering is for an Executive Education retreat, future offerings will also encompass creative arts and technology.

"Those who take advantage of the CQU Noosa Institute’s offerings will be lifelong learners seeking an engaging and fulfilling edu-tourism experience and busy professionals who wish to meet their professional development needs."

Set in Pepper's Noosa Resort, against the backdrop of the pristine Noosa National Park, the Executive Education Retreat will enable delegates to immerse themselves in an ideal environment and the perfect winter climate to refresh and unwind, regenerate and innovate.

“Delegates will learn how to disrupt traditional industries and business models using immersive technologies, while using data analytics to evaluate, grow and secure their business," Ms Schmidt says.

“They will learn how to create a business culture and prepare employees to embrace and create innovation, disruption and change; and to disrupt the traditional business bottom line through social innovation and enterprise.”

Retreat presentations will include a guide to ‘future proofing’ along with opportunities for social innovation and enterprise hidden inside some of society’s most ‘wicked’ problems.

Participants will enjoy a hands-on immersive technology experience, executive coaching and high-calibre Sunshine Coast speakers.
