Google grant enables academic to examine how technology can be woven into the classroom

CQUniversity academic Dr Michael Cowling has gained a small grant from internet search giant Google to teach teachers how to integrate computer science into their classroom.
Dr Cowling, the Brisbane-based Discipline Leader for Mobile Computing and Applications, has gained $4648 to examine the weaving of technology into the fabric of the junior primary classroom.
Google is funding workshops that equip teachers to teach computer science under the 'Computer Science for High Schools' program.
The program provides teachers with skills and resources they need to teach computational thinking and computer science concepts in fun and engaging ways.
