Overview

This Textile Technology Professional Development Course will provide you with the pedagogical content knowledge and skills required to teach Years 7-10 Textile Technology classes. This 4-day intensive workshop will inspire and (re)invigorate your passion for textiles through fun and engaging hands-on learning experiences where basic skills and the latest developments in textile technology are explored. This experience will provide an uplifting and contemporary perspective of home economics and textiles education. Regardless of your textiles experience, your daily activities can be negotiated to either “teach you the basics” or extend you to mastery. During the 4 days, you will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding of processes and procedures as you develop a creative portfolio of textile samplers.
