Get to know Lisa

“I’m the Manager of Organisational Development and Culture at Queensland Health. A lot of people are really good at looking after others and not so great at looking after themselves.”

“Positive psychology is about learning how to build well-being and resilience. I wanted to specialise in my field to gain the credibility to advocate for and implement change at a systems level. That’s when I looked at the CQUniversity Master of Applied Positive Psychology course. The lecturers see the real value in focusing on building a human strength solution rather than repairing. They’re creating a course that’s really valuable.”

“The opportunity to go on a journey with others in a field that is relatively new is really exciting.”

Get to know Stephen

“The Graduate Certificate in Applied Forensic Psychology is a new course for postgraduates who’ve already done a psychology or criminology degree and want to learn more about how forensic psychology works.”

“Forensic psychology is the study of behaviour and thought in a criminal context. It focuses on how to get suspects to talk about and hopefully admit to what they’ve actually done, but it also deals with how to get the most accurate evidence from witnesses.”

“The course concludes with a three-day workshop around interrogating suspects. We proper mock interrogations with actors playing the part of suspects. Students will do an interrogation, including the planning and the preparation.”
