Forensic psychologists apply psychological knowledge to the legal field and criminal justice system in areas such as assisting police investigations and providing an expert understanding as to why some people commit crimes. In this micro-credential you will learn about the field of forensic psychology. You will be introduced to the topics of criminal profiling, psychopathy, mental disorder and law, personality disorders and offending and lie detection. This micro-credential will provide a taste of the discipline of forensic psychology.
