Laboratory Operations

The laboratory operations study options at CQUniversity provide you with skills and knowledge to perform a range of sampling and measuring activities, plus relevant techniques for working in a laboratory.

Entry-level study options in laboratory operations include the Certificate II in Sampling and Measuring and the Certificate III in Laboratory Skills. The certificate II develops your sampling and measuring skills within the construction, manufacturing, resources and environmental industry sectors for laboratory, production or field operations, while the certificate III lets you perform basic laboratory analysis, maintain equipment, calibrate test equipment, and process and record data. Our Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques covers topics such as environmentally-sustainable work practices, laboratory and field workplace safety, planning and conducting laboratory and field work, and processing and interpreting data.
