Subject Specific Events

If you are in high school and would like to explore a course or area of interest then you may find a subject-specific event at CQUniversity the ideal option to participate in or attend.

Throughout the year we host and support a range of subject-specific events so explore the options below.

CQ Junior Robotics

CQ Junior Robotics is a school’s competition held annually in Rockhampton, in conjunction with the state and national Robocup competition. The event involves Queensland primary and high schools competing in a range of challenges where groups of students (Years 4 through to 12) can showcase their knowledge in a range of coding and robotic techniques to create Lego robots and compete in a number of different categories from dance, soccer to rescue.


CQ Englink (ELP) (est. 1994) is a two-day event designed for Year 11 and 12 STEM students. This event provides participants the opportunity to experience a day in the life of an engineer, where they will get to work closely with professional practicing engineers and scientists on real-world engineering problems and using rigorous mathematics and science come up with solutions.

The event is run by the Engineering Link Group and is associated with Engineering Australia.
