Step-up your fitness career and become a personal trainer! This qualification will help develop your knowledge and abilities, providing you with a qualification that can create employment opportunities. Additional Information The Mixed Mode offering has two, 5-day Residential Schools. Students will need to attend both Residential Schools. All Residential Schools are compulsory to attend. |
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a current first aid and CPR certificate and have been recognised as competent through a recognised training program or recognition process against the following units of competency: SISFFIT001 Provide health screening and fitness orientation SISFFIT002 Recognise and apply exercise considerations for specific populations SISFFIT003 Instruct fitness programs SISFFIT004 Incorporate anatomy and physiology principles into fitness programming SISFFIT005 Provide healthy eating information SISFFIT006 Conduct fitness appraisals SISFFIT014 Instruct exercise to older clients SISXCCS001 Provide quality service. It is preferable that students complete the full Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) qualification before continuing on to Certificate IV in Fitness.
Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
