Certificate III in Education Support is the entry-level qualification for Education Support workers.  It is suited to those people seeking a career in education support or just starting their career, working in an education support role.  Many schools are seeking qualified Teacher Aides to join their workforce.

This course is delivered online and the units within this qualification are clustered together.  Enrolment into all units under each cluster, and in the correct sequence listed in the Course Structure tab, is a requirement of the delivery. New students must enrol into Cluster 1. Students must complete a Vocational Placement and/or Work Integrated Learning as part of this qualification. A student who is already employed as a Teacher Aide can use their existing work to fulfil practical requirements for the qualification.  All forms, assessments, resources and textbooks will be provided to students online in our Moodle platform. 

This is a nationally recognised accredited course.

Students who are not already working in a primary or high school workplace must organise a voluntary work placement. Students who are already employed as a Teacher Aide can use their existing work to fulfil practical requirements.

Students will be required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of placement throughout the duration of the course. 

This course has no residential schools.

Required: Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

Ability to complete Vocational Placement component for the duration of the Qualification with a minimum of 100 hours.

Ability to obtain a Suitability Card (Blue Card)

Recommended: Access to a Computer, Internet and intermediate computer skills.
