Most of these courses involve students acquiring knowledge and initial skills training in simulation labs then attending industry sourced student placements which enable students to gain the competencies required to be 'job ready' on graduation. These external industry placements enable students to network with potential employers and builds the professional relationships for career progression. Our teaching, research and industry placements cover a large geographical area across Australia.

Our particular research strengths are in cardiovascular disease, cancer, regenerative medicine and infectious diseases. According to the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA), we are currently ranked 4 ("above world standard") in Medical and Health Sciences (11 FoR code).
