Hello, my name is Chloe and I'm a Bachelor of Engineering student and a grateful recipient of a CQUniCares scholarship.

When I was a little girl, I used to drive my Barbie dolls around in bulldozers and build infrastructure out of Lego bricks. My career goals have always included hi-vis and hard hats.

This scholarship has changed my life. It has given me the confidence that others believe in me and has reminded my younger self that it is possible for a woman to make it as an Engineer.

My family broke apart when I was young, so my mother and I worked to support my two younger siblings.

This scholarship has reduced financial strain and has allowed me to spend more time studying and learning rather than working.

I want to use this scholarship to inspire other young girls to dream big and to know that a career in engineering is available to them.

Thank you for providing me with the courage and financial support I need to continue to pursue my career aspirations as an Engineer.
