Donate to the 2023 Appeal

Together we create change

From 9-15 October 2023, the CQUniCares Appeal brings together the CQUniversity community to create positive change.

Support one deserving cause (or all three)

You can support three worthwhile causes - students experiencing financial hardship, First Nations skills development, and seagrass restoration.

  1. CQUniCares Student Success Scholarships help make education more accessible to more financially disadvantaged students.
  2. Research pathways for First Nations students provide more accessibility for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to undertake research qualifications, closing an important gap in Australia’s research capacity.
  3. Protecting our coastal environment through seagrass restoration will ensure it can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a lasting impact. All gifts of $2 or more are tax deductible, so you can be confident knowing that 100% of your donation is going to where it is needed most.

Message from Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Nick Klomp

The 2023 CQUniCares Appeal

Hi, I'm Professor Nick Klomp, the Vice-Chancellor and President of CQUniversity.

CQUniversity is proud to be an institution that genuinely changes lives. One way we do just this is through our annual CQUniCares Appeal.

The 2023 Appeal will take place from the 9th to the 13th of October and is an opportunity for us to come together as a collective to celebrate our ability to foster positive change for our students, industries, and communities.

This year, we offer a choice to champion a cause close to your heart, aligning with your interests and passions.

The funds we raise will support three important initiatives:

  • helping students facing financial hardship (Student Success Scholarships)
  • empowering First Nations skills development (First Nations Pathways), and
  • safeguarding our precious coastal environment (Coastal Protection).

We understand these times have been trying for many people, so even if you can't give monetarily to the appeal, you can still make a significant contribution by sharing our appeal message through your emails or social media channels.

Remember, every bit of support, whether large or small, leaves a lasting influence.

As Vice-Chancellor, I'm immensely proud of our collective commitment to make life-changing impacts for our students and communities and I thank you for your ongoing support in this journey.

I hope you'll proudly stand with me in supporting the 2023 CQUniCares Appeal. Together, we can continue to change lives.
