CQUniCares Technology Bursary
To be eligible to receive the CQUniCares Technology Bursary, successful applicants must:
- Be identified as living in regional and remote Australia, low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds, and/or Indigenous persons for the duration of enrolment with CQUniversity.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate course of study in Term 2, 2024:
- Bachelor
- Associate Degree
- Advanced Diploma (Higher Education)
- Diploma (Higher Education)*
- Be enrolled at Census date in Term 2, 2024.
- Be an Australian, New Zealand Citizen or holder of an Australian Permanent Visa**
- Not have received or currently in receipt of a CQUniversity Scholarship/Sponsorship within the current term or already received a CQUniCares Technology Bursary.

** Must have a permanent home address in Australia

Selection process
As per the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) Funding requirements, the funds provided as part of this program are directed exclusively towards students studying an undergraduate course from regional and remote Australia (as defined by ABS), low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds (as defined by ABS), and/or Indigenous persons.
As there are a limited number of scholarships available, all scholarships may be exhausted prior to the advertised closing date.
Payment of scholarship
Successful applicants are to ensure their residential address and phone number are up to date in MyCQU.
Postage and delivery to the nominated residential address will be arranged within 7 business days following post Census date eligibility checks if awarded during the term round offers or within 2 weeks of notification of a successful application during the bursary round.
This scholarship cannot be redeemed for cash.
Additional information
As a scholarship recipient, you will be asked to participate in a feedback survey. You may also be approached to assist with promoting the CQUniversity Scholarships program by sharing your experiences as a recipient through media or invited to attend events such as Orientation or Open Day.

To apply for a CQUniCares Technology Bursary, please follow these steps:
- Contact the Student Scholarships Team by emailing studentscholarships@cqu.edu.au requesting an application form.
- Once the first eligibility checks are conducted, the Student Scholarships Team will send an application form to your student email.
- Return the completed form and relevant supporting documentation to studentscholarships@cqu.edu.au.
Please note bursaries may be exhausted prior to the advertised closing date.Information on how to apply will become available on the website closer to the opening date.
