Research
Telecare is Australia’s largest specialist telehealth service provider in rural and remote regions, where access to healthcare, particularly specialist healthcare is challenging. The purpose of this project will be to evaluate and research the Telecare model of care, integrated into the hospital systems out of a number of sites in rural and remote Queensland, by addressing critical gaps in healthcare accessibility, where access to healthcare is limited and high wait times risk patient outcomes. This research project will study the telecare model’s effectiveness, impact on patient outcomes, capability to reduce waitlist, and the general potential for enhancing health care delivery and patient outcomes. The aim is to deliver positive healthcare outcomes and increase patient experience and satisfaction with virtual out-patient telecare model of healthcare.
