As our world becomes more digital and globalised, the need for IT workers is increasingly important. However, only 28% of Australian IT employees are female, and only 1 in 4 IT graduates are female. BizCover seeks to support women in this field through the scholarship, which recognises the dedication of university students and encourages them to pursue a career in IT.
Female final year undergraduate students that are currently studying in the following degrees (or the equivalence of these degrees)
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Bachelor of Data Science
- Bachelor of Cyber Security
- Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence
- Bachelor of Business Information Systems
- Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology
- Bachelor of Design Computing
- Bachelor of Advanced Computing
Video interviews over Zoom will be conducted to decide the scholarship winners amongst all applicants.
Selection criteria:
- Past involvement in IT-related projects
- Academic achievement at school
- Characteristics and communication skills
Applicants are required to answer the Application Questions:
In 1000 words, describe an IT-related project you have previously been involved in or wish to pursue after university.
