Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering's (ATSE) Elevate: Boosting diversity in STEM

Applicants are required to meet three eligibility criteria:   

• Identify as a woman or non-binary person  
• Be enrolling as a domestic student at an Australian university
• Be planning to undertake a STEM degree or a higher degree to improve business acumen (Leadership category only), commencing in 2026

ATSE particularly encourages applications from individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; individuals from regional, rural or remote areas; LGBTQIA+; individuals from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds; low-socioeconomic backgrounds; or those living with a disability. Diversity, inclusion, and achievement relative to opportunity will be considered in the assessment and selection process.

Anyone who is currently studying is ineligible for their current degree. If an individual chooses to undertake postgraduate studies and continues to meet the eligibility criteria, ATSE would be delighted to receive their application in the future.

Additional criteria may apply, dependent on the type of scholarship selected.

Applications for Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering's (ATSE) Elevate: Boosting diversity in STEM are open from 12:00 pm (AEST) 1 May 2025 until 9:00 am (AEST) 1 September 2025.

ATSE will not respond to enquiries submitted after 5:00pm (AEST) on 28 August 2025. ATSE recommends anyone seeking guidance or advice for their application submit their questions well in advance of the deadline.
