CQUniversity graduates ranked as most employable in Queensland

CQUniversity graduates are the most employable in Queensland and rank in the top four in Australia for employability, according to the latest survey of employer satisfaction.

The independent Australian-government-funded annual Employer Satisfaction Survey (ESS) saw CQUniversity ranked as the best in the state for university graduates and fourth in Australia for meeting employer needs, recording an 87.6 per cent (2021-2022) overall satisfaction score from Australian employers.

CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Nick Klomp said the results highlighted the impact that CQUniversity has on graduate’s job-readiness.

“CQUniversity has long been a leader in graduate outcomes and the latest ESS results are a testament to not only our graduates, but to our wonderful teaching staff who equip our students with the essential skills to become some of the best employees in the country,” Professor Klomp said.

Professor Klomp said the survey results also came down to the University’s focus on industry engagement and work integrated learning across its courses.

“Those factors have a huge influence on the overall employability of our students,” he said.

“This result demonstrates how, even with the uncertainty of the past few years, CQUniversity is producing graduates who are work-ready and highly employable.”

Not one to rest on its laurels, CQUniversity now offers a Graduate Guarantee – an Australian-first initiative to further improve the workforce-readiness of its students.

“Our willingness to enrol our graduates free of charge means we are putting our money where our mouth is when it comes to graduate employability,” Professor Klomp said.

“Anyone graduating from a CQUniversity undergraduate course from is eligible to take advantage of the Graduate Guarantee.”
