Information and Communications Technology alumni reconnect at Brisbane campus
'CQUniversity Brisbane has reinforced its ongoing connection to its alumni by hosting a reunion event for Information and Communications Technology graduates.
Alumni from CQUniversity's Information Systems and Information Technology undergraduate and postgraduate courses attended the event' organised by the School of Engineering & Technology's College of Information & Communications Technology (CoICT).
Associate Vice-President for South-East Queensland and Director Strategic Engagement Chris Veraa and CoICT's Head of College Associate Professor Marilyn Wells welcomed the alumni and expressed their continued importance to the University.
CoICT Engagement Lead Associate Professor Ritesh Chugh said the alumni enjoyed the opportunity to network and reconnect.
"The event's success helped further strengthen the bond between the university and our graduates. Our alumni have the power to inspire' mentor' and support current and future students' contributing to a vibrant university community'" he said.
Alumnus Munish Singla' who graduated with a Bachelor of IT in 2018' said he was delighted to have the opportunity to see the progress of the Brisbane campus.
"It was great to connect with some of our lecturers and other alumni students and chat about the career pathways everyone is pursuing'" he said.
"I made some new friends and had a chance to refresh memories with some old ones."
