CQUniversity’s Makerspace is set to spark creativity, innovation, and fun this July with a dynamic lineup of School Holiday Workshops designed for children and teens aged 4 to 16.

Running from 2 – 9 July at the CQU Bundaberg campus, the hands-on workshops offer a unique opportunity for young learners to dive into the exciting worlds of coding, robotics, drones, and invention.

With a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork, each session is crafted to inspire and engage participants in a supportive and interactive environment.

Makerspace Assistant Manager Michelle Gossner said the workshops focus on more than just fun—they’re a gateway to future skills.

“We’re passionate about making Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) accessible and exciting for all young people, no matter their background or experience,” Ms Gossner said.

“Whether it’s building a LEGO® dragster, flying a drone, or creating a game controller from bananas, every activity is designed to spark curiosity and confidence.

“We love seeing kids light up when they realise what they’re capable of achieving.”

Bookings can be made via the CQUniversity website.
