The quality of VET programs is contingent upon the qualifications and competence of the staff delivering and assessing the programs. Provide a list of teachers and their qualifications, as well as additional information, including:

  • The level at which staff are qualified in relation to the qualification being taught
  • How the institution ensures it meets the Standards for Continuing Registration
  • How the institution ensures that only appropriately qualified and competent teaching staff can deliver and assess the programs
  • The minimum industry experience required to be employed as a teaching staff member
  • How staff maintain their skills, competence and relevant industry experience in the field in which they are assessing and maintain current knowledge of the industry, industry practices and the job role against which performance is being assessed
  • How staff records are maintained to reflect the changing qualification level and maintenance of industry experience

Provide an overview of the institution’s principles, philosophy and practices applied towards assessment as part of the teaching and learning process. (*)

  • A broad statement of the institutions vision towards assessment practice
  • How assessment practices align with the requirements of endorsed qualification frameworks and/or standards

  • Application of holistic and/or integrated assessment
  • The rules of evidence that are applied towards assessment
