Zahava Robinson

Podiatrist and technology entrepreneur
Since graduating from CQUniversity as a podiatrist, my career has evolved across healthcare, business and technology entrepreneurship.
I began my professional journey in podiatry, building experience across private practice and community healthcare. Over time, I developed a strong interest not only in clinical care, but also in how services are built, improved and delivered more effectively. That interest eventually expanded into technology, consumer behaviour and entrepreneurship.
Today, I continue to work clinically as a podiatrist while also serving as Founder and CTO of Kick Cashback, an Australian cashback technology platform. My work spans product development, technology, user experience, commercial partnerships, data analysis and growth strategy. I am closely involved in improving the platform, solving technical and operational problems, developing new features and building relationships with retailers and other partners.
Building Kick Cashback has given me the opportunity to work across software development, affiliate marketing, payments, partnerships, customer acquisition and fundraising. The platform now works with more than 1,000 retailers and continues to grow.
Before studying with CQUniversity, I had completed studies in health sciences and had also explored accounting. Those experiences helped me understand that I wanted a career that combined science, practical problem-solving and meaningful interaction with people. I was drawn to podiatry because it offered the opportunity to make a tangible difference to a person’s mobility, independence and quality of life.
I chose CQUniversity because its podiatry program offered the practical, clinically focused education I was looking for and provided a clear pathway into the profession. My degree gave me the clinical knowledge, practical skills and confidence to build a career as a podiatrist, but its impact has gone well beyond clinical practice.
The skills I developed through podiatry, including clinical reasoning, problem-solving, attention to detail, evidence-based decision-making and understanding people’s needs, now influence the way I approach product development and entrepreneurship through Kick Cashback.
Two career highlights I am particularly proud of are graduating with First Class Honours in podiatry and building a strong clinical career, and later co-founding Kick Cashback and helping grow it into a technology platform working with more than 1,000 retailers.
My career has not followed one traditional path, and that has become one of its strengths. Healthcare taught me responsibility, empathy and attention to detail; business taught me how to operate and grow an organisation; and technology has taught me to experiment, adapt quickly and keep solving problems when the path forward is not obvious.
Outside of work, I am passionate about healthcare, technology and entrepreneurship, particularly using practical ideas to make everyday services simpler and more accessible. I also have a strong interest in family history and historical research, and have spent considerable time researching and preserving my family’s story for future generations.
