Janey Kyle-Scott
In her cooking career, Janey worked with some great chefs around New Zealand, under whom she learned valuable culinary, work and life skills. Later in life, Janey was selected to study a Hotel and Catering General Management qualification at Waiariki Institute of Technology in Rotorua, New Zealand. As part of this, she obtained a Chef's Qualification.
Janey moved to Australia in 2008, where she was involved in the not-for-profit sector, providing business and pre-employment training. After obtaining employment with CQUniversity, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary and Adult Education. Since then, Janey has been busy managing her current teaching role and community engagement activities, for which she was awarded a Queensland Day Community Champion award.
Janey's study experiences with CQU have ensured that her teaching practice remains current with modern compliance requirements, incorporates new technology, and allows her to adapt to the diverse learning needs of her student groups.
