Lou Warwick

After 15 years of working in the health industry, I decided to pursue my interest in and affinity for the construction industry by enrolling in a Bachelor of Building Design which I completed in 2021. I also completed a Bachelor of Building Surveying and Inspection in 2023. 

I realised that I needed extra workplace experience, along with deeper skills in computer-aided design (CAD) in order to get roles that work with my injury limitations so I enrolled in a Bachelor of Building Surveying and Certification (Honours) program to get these extended qualifications.

Doing the design degree gave me a deeper understanding of the lengthy process which improved my empathy towards designers. I continue to complete the honours degree.
