Melissa De Rossi

Melissa says that she would never have been able to achieve her current status as an accounting professional at Lyons Judge Accountants and Advisers in Bundaberg without studying. She chose to study accounting because it was something she could do locally, and it was while attending classes that she created local industry networks. Through those networks she was offered a job and she continues in this role as a taxation accountant now that she has graduated.

As a high achieving student, Melissa received three academic prizes during her studies. The monetary component of the most recent two prizes (Gladstone Ports Corporation Bachelor of Accounting Prize and the Lyons Judge Prize) funded the majority of the start-up costs for the business she opened soon after graduating, using the skills she developed during her studies.
